Back in 2020, the village of Sloan, NY (outside of Buffalo) contacted us with a familiar story: Their wading pool was in need of very costly repairs and lifeguards were hard to find. We had worked with them several times on playgrounds and welcomed the challenge of designing a splashpad for them. The village had one request: It had to have a flamingo spray feature as a wink to the flamingo lawn decorations that the village had been so famous for in the past. We made good on that request and added several other spray features to round out their unique botanical design.
