We worked over the last few years on a combination playground/splash pad project for this picturesque park in Cicero, New York, right on the shores of Oneida Lake. The new playground features a Kid’s Choice 5-12 structure as well as an inclusive whirl, the Accelerator disc swing, and an accessible unitary rubber safety surfacing so children of all abilities can join in the fun.
The town was looking to add a splashpad as they were having issues with blue-green algae blooms, as well as finding it a challenge to hire lifeguards. The splashpad features a twin splash dumping bucket as well as several water features for the little ones. The splashpad even earned the Outstanding Design Award from the Central New York Recreation & Parks Society!
